The Fighter is based on a poem by Ron Coleman that expresses his frustration with his dementia diagnosis. It is performed by Ron himself with support from his family. The song combines electro and glam rock with a charismatic vocal suggestive of The Fall’s Mark E Smith.
People pretending,
niceness never ending,
Totally transcending,
cognitive comprehension.
